Web team goals

Current objectives

College of Humanities and Social Science web sites should:

Comply with new university web strategy across the Humanities and Social Science web pages.
Differentiate between internal and external users
Have user-centred navigation
Have a consistent look and feel across College pages
Promote research achievements
Recruit postgraduate, undergraduate and international students.

We reach these goals by:

Liasing with College of Humanities and Social Science staff on web support and development issues.
Restructuring and improving existing College web pages.
Promoting the conversion and loading of existing web content into the new databases and templates (Polopoly).
Designing and introducing training programmes on web page maintenance for college staff.
Maintaining close links with EUCS and IS staff.
Working with University marketing officers to attract new users, and retain existing users.
Reviewing and assessing the College web sites and advising and implementing necessary changes.
