Working methodology
Introduction
This guide explains the workflow procedure that is undertaken for each job and project the HSS web team works on. This guide is a reference for HSS web team customers and other parties.
Each project is divided into the following stages:
- Defining the project
- Developing site structure
- Visual design and testing
- Production and quality assurance
- Site launch
At each stage, and within each stage, jobs are reviewed and documented and the whole process is recorded in the university call management system.
It is difficult to give an approximate timescale for jobs as this will vary dependent on a number of factors. The scale of the job, the workload of the team and the input of the customer all has an effect.
Why do we do this?
Our workflow system enables us to:
- offer a model that works for us and our customers
- fine-tune and improve upon our procedures
- let customers know what we do, how we do it, and what is expected of them
