The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) funded the Research Centre for Studies in Intellectual Property and Technology Law in the University of Edinburgh in 2002.
Its remit is to consider the relationship between law, policy and technologies in the broadest sense.
The AHRC has also jointly funded the new Centre for the Advanced Study of the Arab World in the Universities of Edinburgh, Manchester and Durham.
